Marcos Alcocer
PARTNER
Before co-founding Margen, Marcos served as VP of Operations for Roca Ventures, a private equity firm specialized in distressed assets, where he led a fleet of construction vessels and managed a logistics port for the offshore industry in the Gulf of Mexico.
He was also involved in the restructuring of one of the group’s companies, taking it through Chapter 11 (“Concurso Mercantil”) and bankruptcy proceedings as well as the sale of a subsidiary to a competitor.
Prior to his involvement in Roca Ventures, Marcos was General Manager of Mexico for Auge Industrial, a metal component manufacturer with manufacturing facilities in Mexico, US and China.
He was also an equities trader for Citibank, where he led the arbitrage desk.
Marcos holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from ITAM.
Genaro Márquez
PARTNER
Before co-founding Margen, Genaro served as Vice President at Roca Ventures, a private equity firm specialized in distressed assets, where he led the financial and strategic planning efforts within the firm's investments. He was involved in corporate reorganization, turnaround, sale of assets, Chapter 11 (“Concurso Mercantil”) and bankruptcy proceedings.
Prior to his involvement in Roca Ventures, Genaro worked at Mira Companies´s Asset Management practice where he managed a portfolio of real estate assets. He also worked in the real estate investments team at Tresalia Capital.
Genaro holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) and an MBA from Babson College.
